An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated, enthusiastic, and passionate senior medical professional, with a keen interest in clinical services and patient safety, to join our expanding healthcare team within the Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board.
The post is suited to a medical professional looking to further develop their existing leadership and management skills. There is a strongly embedded multi-disciplinary culture where you'll be recognised and valued for your skills. This is a role offering diverse responsibilities incorporating leadership, planning, implementation, and continuous service improvement for the patient healthcare journey.
Main Duties of the JobYou will work collaboratively across the health board to provide a safe, effective, and highly valued healthcare service. This post forms part of the senior leadership team and plays an important role in delivering services which directly improve outcomes for patients.
You will lead on quality improvement initiatives within the health board and work closely with other senior leaders to improve patient safety. Successful candidates will possess excellent communication and organisational skills, be able to demonstrate compassionate leadership and problem-solving skills, and have the ability to plan and work independently as well as being part of a wider team.
You will act as the department's audit lead for patient safety issues, encourage audit and original research to support safe healthcare practice.
You will be the healthcare representative for the health board's Safer Medicines Practice Group and escalate patient safety issues to senior members of the health board's leadership team.
