We are seeking a Spiritual Care Specialist to join our team at Hd6. As a School Chaplain, you will play a vital role in supporting the spiritual and prayer life of our school community.

About the Role

This part-time position is ideal for someone who is passionate about chaplaincy work and wants to make a difference in the lives of students and staff. You will work closely with the Executive Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team to develop and implement spiritual programs that promote a positive and inclusive school culture.

As a Spiritual Care Specialist, you will be responsible for promoting Cardinal Pole Catholic School as a Centre of Excellence for Chaplaincy work. This involves establishing effective links with local Parish Priests, Diocese, external bodies, and schools.

You will also support school policies with a commitment to high standards, high expectations, and high achievement. Additionally, you will be aware of current educational developments and the conclusions of educational research that may be relevant to practices and policies within the school.

The salary for this position is £35,000 - £42,500 per annum, depending on experience (pro rata for 35 hours per week, term time only). We offer a range of benefits, including free staff access to a modern gym, an incredible team of staff, and opportunities for professional development.

Requirements

We are looking for someone who has a strong understanding of chaplaincy work and is able to work effectively with students, staff, and external partners. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

A degree in a related field and experience working in a similar role would be beneficial. However, we are open to candidates who have transferable skills and a passion for chaplaincy work.
