Performance Test Specialist

As a Performance Test Specialist at Prolifics Testing, you will be working as part of an experienced performance team servicing both existing and new customers in a range of industries, including finance, legal, higher education and not for profit.

This is a good opportunity to grow technically, with exposure to the latest technologies, cloud platforms and a diverse set of customers. You will be working on a range of web-based performance testing projects for a diverse set of customers, using JMeter and other tools.

Essential Requirements:

  • 3-4 years testing experience, including 2 years of using JMeter
  • At least a basic knowledge of Java
  • A good understanding of the software development life cycle development and testing and experience of working on a range of projects
  • Experience of working in a variety of different technical environments
  • Advantageous:
    • Experience of analysing network traffic
    • An understanding of network protocols and tools
    • Test automation skills (any tools)

Personal Requirements:

  • Very Good communication skills (written and spoken)
  • Needs to be technical, capable of integrating with an existing team and contributing effectively to the goals of the organisation
  • It is essential to be committed, energetic and enthusiastic about testing
  • Needs to be practical and proactive, owning problems and able to think ahead
  • Able to work well autonomously, with a focus on delivery
  • Eagerness to learn and an aptitude for picking things up quickly

There are 3 Prolifics companies in the UK, in addition to ourselves there is the integration practice in London and Tier 2 (web and app development) in Stevenage.

About Borehamwood:

Borehamwood has a vibrant high street, major retailers, a mix of big-name and independent cafes and restaurants, and a very strong TV and Film industry heritage, Elstree Studios, BBC Elstree and Sky Studios are all based here. We're easily accessible from Central London, North London boroughs, other parts of Hertfordshire, and beyond. Our modern offices are directly opposite Elstree & Borehamwood, which is within London's Travelcard area, and is located in Zone 6. It's on the Thameslink line, with services through London St Pancras (just 21 minutes at peak times), as far south as Sutton and as far north as Luton. The station also gives access to bus services across the region. If you're driving, we're close to the A1, M1, M25 and the A406 North Circular. Parking at the office is available.
