Job Overview:
Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting for a Clinical Lead in Acute Care to join our Emergency Department team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced doctor to take on a leadership role and contribute to the development of our department.

As a Specialty Doctor in Emergency Medicine, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and leading a team of doctors. You will work across both hospital sites, gaining experience in working in a Major Trauma Centre and tertiary centre for many hospital specialities. You will be exposed to a variety of Emergency Medicine presentations and have the opportunity to develop into a CESR post.

The estimated salary for this position is £90,000 - £120,000 per annum, depending on experience. The successful candidate will have 4 years of postgraduate medical experience/training, with at least 12 months in Emergency Medicine (6 months in the UK in a training or middle grade post at CT3 level or above). They must not have been out of clinical practice for longer than 2 years and have previous involvement and understanding of audit. Evidence of interest and participation in teaching is also essential.

Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and management of the Emergency Department team
- Development of policies and procedures to improve patient care
- Contribution to the development of the department's strategic plan
- Collaboration with other teams to improve patient outcomes
