An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior People Partner to join a leading Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust, based in Birmingham and Solihull. If you have experience in business partnering, influencing stakeholders up to Executive Level, and having those engaging conversations that turn ideas into actions, then come and make a real impact at our Trust.

Reporting to the Head of People, Culture and Learning & Development, you will work with divisional senior management teams to understand short and longer-term business priorities and determine the people activity needed to realize these goals, as well as identifying and interpreting people priorities.

Main duties of the job

As a Senior People Partner, you will also be responsible for a specialist portfolio area including but not limited to Health & Wellbeing and Policy development. Additionally, the role includes line management responsibilities, so you will need to confidently lead, engage, motivate, and develop new and existing team members. In return, you will receive a personal development plan to enable long-term career opportunities.

This role gives the opportunity for hybrid working, and you will typically be asked to work in a hybrid way, working from your home and also from Trust HQ, The Uffculme Centre, or any other agreed site.

Person Specification

TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

Essential

  • Masters Degree in relevant subject or Post Graduate membership of Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) or equivalent demonstrable experience.
  • Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

Essential

  • Significant operational HR experience with exposure to working as a Business Partner and experience of devising and implementing HR plans and strategy.
  • Demonstrable experience in large-scale change management and experience of advising managers on complex change processes including redundancy, reorganization, and TUPE transfers.
  • Experience of devising and implementing HR policies.
  • Sound understanding of HR best practice, NHS terms and conditions of employment (including doctors), and job evaluation/reward management concepts.
