About the Role

As a Principal, SOC Security Architect at indie Semiconductor, you will play a critical role in shaping the security landscape of our next-generation automotive semiconductors and software platforms.

Your primary responsibility will be to lead the evaluation of security threats, define security features, and implement security solutions across our new product's generation.

To succeed in this role, you will need to have a strong background in IC design architecture with a focus on cybersecurity, particularly in automotive applications. You should also have excellent communication and collaboration skills, as well as the ability to stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in automotive IC security.

Key Responsibilities
  • Defining and implementing security requirements and architectures for SOC designs.
  • Architecting robust security solutions in both hardware (HW) and software (SW).
  • Developing and executing evaluation plans for HW and SW security implementations.
  • Analyzing hardware and software attack vectors specific to automotive applications.
  • Collaborating closely with the development team to integrate secure design practices throughout the IC development lifecycle.
  • Conducting security assessments, risk analysis, and vulnerability testing at the architecture level.
  • Leading the selection and integration of third-party IP and components with a strong emphasis on security compliance and performance optimization.
  • Driving the development of secure boot processes, encryption schemes, and overall security strategies.
  • Mentoring junior engineers and contributing to advancing secure IC design methodologies.
  • Staying informed about industry trends and advancements in automotive IC security to drive innovation within the team.
  • Communicating effectively with multi-functional teams to ensure cohesive integration of security systems.
