Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Sales Associate to join our team at HARIBO. As a Sales Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a high level of retail standards, and ensuring operational excellence in our retail stores.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service:
    • Deliver outstanding customer service by greeting customers, approaching and engaging with them, and making product recommendations.
    • Process cash and card payments at the till, and handle customer complaints in a professional manner.
  • Retail Standards:
    • Maintain a high level of retail standards by ensuring products are correctly replenished, displayed, and priced.
    • Ensure promotional items and offers are visible to customers and actively sold.
    • Undertake daily cleaning duties within the store.
  • Operational Standards:
    • Deliver operational excellence by replenishing stock, counting, rotating, and recording it correctly.
    • Comply with company standards in Health & Safety, providing a safe environment for colleagues and customers.
    • Understand and comply with the requirements of the Environmental Management System (EMS) and the Environmental Permit as part of day-to-day activities.
    • Complete food hygiene and handling training, and ensure all food hygiene processes are followed and records completed.

Requirements:

  • Previous retail experience is essential.
  • Online retail experience would also be beneficial.
  • Experience handling cash and processing card payments.
  • A desire to provide excellent customer service.
  • The ability to communicate well at all levels, being helpful and approachable.
  • Ability to work individually as well as part of a team.
