We are seeking a highly skilled Business Support Coordinator to provide professional and confidential support to the Programme Senior Managers in the delivery of the Modern Slavery programme.

This is a temporary role working Monday to Friday, 37 hours a week.

Key Responsibilities

To manage the tasking and delivery of tasks as required by the administration team, ensuring they are completed on time and to a required standard.

Maintain and manage department registers such as the asset register.

Act as the first point of contact for general enquiries and project a professional image and high degree of customer focus.

Provide support to all members of the MSPTU senior management team.

Take responsibility for a portfolio of specific key tasks working with limited supervision.

Set up, monitor submissions, circulate papers, and record key programme-related meetings.

Organise and arrange events as required by the programme, including booking venues, inviting attendees, and managing the event on the day.

Deputise for the Modern Slavery Portfolio Coordinator at various high-level meetings as required.

Complete other ad hoc programme-related tasks.

Essential Criteria

Highly skilled in the use of MS Office applications.

Proven administrative experience and ability to effectively manage, organise, and prioritise workload to meet conflicting demands.

Proven experience overseeing the workloads and outputs of a small team.

Experience of maintaining a record management system.

Experience of organising & recording meetings both in person and by conference call.

Awareness of and/or experience of project management methodology, especially PRINCE 2.

Experience of working effectively without close supervision.

Excellent customer care skills, with a proven ability to meet customer expectations.

Experience in working as part of a team.

Experience in organising and managing large events.

Knowledge of Modern Slavery strategy and national policy.
