Dimensions and Context of Role
The Clinical Team Coordinator will work closely with the Clinical Team Managers to ensure the effective implementation of the Key Worker Program, a pilot initiative funded by the National Health Service England and Improvement. The post holder will be responsible for leading the implementation and evaluation of the project, as well as coordinating administrative tasks for the clinical staff. Key responsibilities include collating and reporting clinical data, offering project lead and business support to the Clinical Team Managers, and assisting with governance processes.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities of the Post
To assist the Clinical Team Managers in the management of the Keyworker program by providing project lead and business support. This will involve undertaking tasks to operationalise the team, supporting governance, performance, and reporting processes, and collating relevant information for stakeholders.
Managing communication on behalf of the team, taking referral information, coordinating clinical activity, arranging multi-agency meetings, and facilitating the writing of clinical reports/letters and onward referrals. The post holder will also assist with the management of the Dynamic Support Register (DSR) and ensure that there is oversight of all children and young people open to the team. To provide line management and supervision to administrative staff within the CAMHS Admin team, ensuring staff are supported and up-to-date with mandatory training, induction, and annual appraisals.
In addition, the Clinical Team Coordinator will undertake administrative tasks for the team, including managing incoming calls, typing, and supporting the clinical team with tasks that free up time to care. The post holder will demonstrate excellent customer care during any call, particularly when assisting with the needs of families who contact the team and other multi-agency professionals. The coordinator will ensure that quality and performance monitoring data is collated and available monthly.
The Clinical Team Coordinator will be expected to attend meetings relating to the keyworker service, book rooms, prepare agendas, and complete minutes as requested. The post holder will form a good working relationship with co-production colleagues in Devon, linking in when required. The coordinator will assist in service changes, training, and development of others. To know how to report accidents and untoward incidents and to do so promptly.
To obtain knowledge of Trust policies, procedures, and practices and carry out duties in accordance with them. To be aware of legal issues and have an understanding of the Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act, and Transforming Care. The Clinical Team Coordinator will ensure that quality monitoring for the team is delegated and carried out as required. The post holder will be able to access staffing information for the team and maintain e-roster.
To be willing to participate actively in appropriate in-service training programs which the managers believes to be of benefit to the individual. To assume co-responsibility for maintaining skills and knowledge levels. Undertake specific responsibilities designated by the Clinical Team Managers. To undertake mandatory and other training as directed by the Trust.
To participate in continuing role/personal development using the appraisal system.
