About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Consultant Cardiologist to join our team at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust (279).

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual to contribute to the development of our electrophysiology service and support the expansion of complex devices. The appointee will form part of a multidisciplinary team of cardiologists delivering comprehensive outpatient and inpatient cardiology services.

The ideal candidate will have sub-specialty training in EP/Complex Devices and be able to work effectively in a busy clinical environment. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential, as well as the ability to provide high-quality patient care and participate in teaching and research activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the development of our electrophysiology service and expand complex devices capabilities
  • Deliver high-quality patient care in accordance with trust policies and procedures
  • Participate in teaching and research activities to enhance professional development and knowledge sharing
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes
Person Specification

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A basic medical degree and relevant specialist qualifications (MRCP or equivalent)
  • Full GMC registration with a licence to practice
  • CCT in Cardiology or equivalent (equivalence confirmed by GMC)
  • Specialist Register or eligibility for entry within 6 months
