Human Resources Policy Specialist

As a trusted advisor, you will guide managers through key ER activities, support the recruitment and onboarding of new hires, build management capability through training and coaching practices, revise and apply policy best practice, support process improvements, contribute to various HR projects, and foster a positive, supportive, and high-performing culture.
Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive advice, guidance, and practical support to Managers and employees regarding a range of employee relations issues, including performance management, disciplinary and grievance matters, and absence management.
Draft and update HR policies and procedures to meet organisational and legislative requirements, ensuring they are implemented effectively through consultation and training.
Support the employee engagement plan and health and wellbeing focus days to increase engagement and address areas of concern.
Partner with the Talent Acquisition Manager on selection activities, such as interviewing and running assessment centres, agency management, and sourcing candidates.
Assist and coach managers in the assessment, development, and performance management of employees, ensuring objectives are set and performance appraisals are conducted for each employee.
Oversee the production of monthly payroll, ensuring accurate calculations and support the annual pay review process to ensure accurate calculations and adoption of annual pay increases.
Take ownership of HR Administration processes, guiding the HR Administrator in the efficient and accurate delivery of all HR Administration activities, such as starter and leaver processes, and variations to contract.
Support the Head of HR during rapid growth by acquisition, support TUPE processes and administration to ensure legislative compliance and continued employee engagement.
Requirements
Works effectively within a team, providing direction, coaching, and support to colleagues.
Emotional Intelligence: Ability to demonstrate confidentiality and sensitivity in dealing with all issues of business, especially when handling sensitive situations and information, and UK employment legislation.
