Marine Engineer - Aftersales and Refit Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Marine Engineer to join our Aftersales team at Marine Resources. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the exceptional standard of our fleet currently in operation.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide technical assistance to the Aftersales Coordinators and customers via phone, email, or in-person meetings.
  2. Assist the Aftersales team with project planning by providing estimates for hours, parts, and possible scope expansion.
  3. Document all work and communicate with the appropriate project stakeholders through designated channels.
  4. Fallback into the production team and assist with new builds as and when required.
Requirements:
  1. A strong background in diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues in small to mid-sized leisure craft.
  2. Experience in new-build marine engineering, both mechanical and electrical.
  3. Proof of marine engineering qualifications is a benefit.
  4. Experience with electronic injection marine diesel engines and drive installs (e.g. Yanmar / Volvo / stern drives and water jets).
  5. Experience with CANbus distribution systems and marine navigation equipment.
  6. Experience travelling and working overseas, while being able to attend trips at short notice with occasional long working hours.
  7. Multi-skilled in a range of boat building tasks and familiar with composite construction.
  8. Ability to be independent on a vessel engineering project - planning own work and checking stock and information.
