We are seeking an experienced Ecologist Leader to join our dynamic Nature team at AECOM. As a key member of our Ecology team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of the environment and delivering exceptional ecological services to our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage ecological surveys, licensing, and impact assessments, ensuring high-quality and commercially astute results.
- Oversee project planning, scheduling, and organization, ensuring necessary resources, budgets, and controls are in place to meet program and budget requirements.
- Deliver high-quality ecological consultancy and advisory services to internal and external clients, including technical review and checking processes.
- Develop technically robust and pragmatic solutions to complex ecological issues, collaborating with colleagues and stakeholders to achieve project goals.
- Author or technically check project deliverables, ensuring high-quality outputs that meet client expectations.
- Support the continued development of our technical capabilities and reach, contributing to the growth and success of our Ecology team.
- Experience in leading and managing ecological surveys, licensing, and impact assessments, with a strong understanding of relevant wildlife conservation and habitat types.
- Proven track record of work-winning, project management, and stakeholder engagement, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Membership of an appropriate professional institution, with evidence of working towards Chartership (e.g., CIEEM or related).
- Excellent field skills in at least one specialist area, including protected species licenses.
- A full driving license and willingness to visit other locations on company business.
