Network Engineer Role

Vodafone is seeking a skilled Network Engineer to join our UK Networks team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for installing, commissioning, and maintaining customer networks, supporting satellite earth stations, and fixed-line networking.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install and commission customer networks, ensuring seamless connectivity and service delivery.
  • Support colleagues with fault finding and troubleshooting on customer critical systems, leveraging your technical expertise to resolve complex issues.
  • Provide technical insights to key faults and scenarios where service is under threat or impacted, collaborating with customer representatives to overcome outages.
  • Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and provide solutions to mitigate future instances, or provide visibility of impact should analysis not be implemented.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in providing service to customers and drive forward to resolution.
  • Analyse management information from network elements and customer data, taking proactive action to resolve any issues.
  • Validate network changes to ensure customer compliance.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will have:
  • Experience within a telecoms or service provider environment working on a wide range of telecoms engineering equipment and technologies, preferably fixed-line experience.
  • Satellite Earth station maintenance and fault finding.
  • A valid full UK driving license.
