We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic KS2 Teaching Assistant to support pupils from Year 6.

As a KS2 Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher to provide one-on-one and small group support to students. You will help ensure students stay engaged, focused, and supported in their learning while fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist the class teacher with lesson preparation and classroom management.
  2. Provide one-on-one and small group support to students, ensuring they stay engaged and on task.
  3. Help maintain a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
  4. Support students with varying abilities and learning needs, including those with special educational needs.
  5. Act as a positive role model for students, promoting appropriate behaviour and social skills.

Requirements:

  1. Previous experience working as a KS2 Teaching Assistant is essential.
  2. Strong administrative and organisational abilities are crucial.
  3. Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with staff and students.
  4. Flexibility to adapt to the dynamic needs of the school environment.
  5. A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2/3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools) is desirable but not essential.

Estimated Salary: £22,500 - £28,000 per annum, depending on experience.
