Academics Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Support Specialist to join their team. This role offers the opportunity to work with children with Social and Emotional Mental Health Needs in a specialist school based in Cowley, Oxford.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Psychology, Counselling or Criminology and be able to provide support to students with complex needs. A salary of £83-95 per day reflects the importance of this role in supporting the well-being of students.

The successful candidate will work alongside therapists and psychologists to develop strategies to promote positive mental health outcomes. They will also contribute to creating a safe and supportive learning environment for students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one support to students with Social and Emotional Mental Health Needs
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other professionals to develop Individual Education Plans
  • Contribute to creating a positive and inclusive school culture
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with parents and carers
