The successful candidate will have a strong track record of delivering complex AI/ML projects and a deep understanding of responsible AI practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of AI/ML engineers and researchers to develop and implement AI/ML solutions that meet business needs and improve patient outcomes.
  • Develop and implement responsible AI practices to ensure that AI/ML solutions are safe, transparent, and fair.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI/ML solutions into GSK's products and services.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest AI/ML trends and technologies and apply this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement.

Requirements

  • PhD in a quantitative or engineering discipline (e.g., computer science, computational biology, bioinformatics, engineering, among others); OR equivalent work experience as a professional ML engineer or data scientist.
  • Strong track record of delivering complex AI/ML projects and a deep understanding of responsible AI practices.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with biomedical data (e.g., genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, electronic health records, clinical images).
  • Experience shipping large-scale ML applications.
  • Background or interest in drug discovery, biology, medicine, or ethics.
