Key Responsibilities- Work collaboratively with our team to promote good relationships and encourage achievements among young people.
- Participate in and encourage the participation of young people in domestic tasks to develop self-care skills.
- Write review reports, risk assessments, and contribute to care plans to ensure the best interests of young people are respected and promoted.
- Liaise with parents and partner agencies to ensure the best interests of young people are respected and promoted.
- Wide knowledge of the behaviors displayed by children and young people and an understanding of various intervention strategies.
- Working knowledge of legislation in relation to child care, including National Care Standards, Children (Scotland) Act 1989, and GIRFEC.
- Knowledge of policy and procedures in relation to residential child care.
- Understanding of the process of child development.
- Understanding of the principles of safeguarding and child protection.
- Knowledge and understanding of the principles of teamwork.
