About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Continuous Improvement Engineer to join our team at TQR. As a key member of our engineering department, you will play a pivotal role in driving process improvements and implementing lean manufacturing initiatives that enhance our operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive continuous improvement strategy to streamline processes and reduce waste.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to identify and analyze opportunities for improvement, and develop action plans to drive results.
  • Implement lean manufacturing tools and techniques, such as SMED, 5S, Kanban, and Kaizen, to optimize workflows and improve productivity.
  • Manage and track project progress, measure results, and report on impact to stakeholders.
  • Educate and train employees on continuous improvement principles and practices to foster a culture of innovation and problem-solving.
  • Stay up-to-date on best practices in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement to ensure our processes remain competitive and efficient.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Business Studies, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in continuous improvement or lean manufacturing, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven track record of successful project implementation and a strong analytical and problem-solving skillset.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Ability to travel occasionally to suppliers, customers, and distributors within the UK and internationally.
