About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Tax Manager to join our team at Menzies. As a key member of our Corporate Tax department, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of business tax clients, ensuring compliance requirements are met, and building strong relationships with clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a portfolio of business tax clients, including compliance and advisory services
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, identifying areas where Menzies can further support and assist
  • Assist with training and management of the business tax team
  • Advise and assist corporates on tax requirements, including succession planning, remuneration planning, and capital allowances planning
  • Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities and maximize business value
  • Collaborate with other teams to identify opportunities for cross-selling and business growth
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations, ensuring compliance and advising clients on implications
Requirements
  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent) and/or CIOT qualified tax adviser with at least one year's post-qualified experience in a tax-related role
  • Corporate tax technical and practical knowledge
  • Good knowledge of tax issues affecting corporates and their shareholders
  • Knowledge of other business taxes and tax reporting processes is preferable but not essential
  • Knowledge of UK accounting standards and competent in interpreting accounts and other financial information
