Associate Ecologist

Fully remote opportunity with a 3-hour commute radius from Reading

Salary: Up to £55,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus company car/car allowance and bonus scheme

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

We are seeking an experienced Associate Ecologist to lead and contribute to the delivery of ecology consultancy services and support for pollution emergency response. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of experience in ecology, preferably within an environmental consultancy, and possess comprehensive technical knowledge in hydro-ecology.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead a team of ecologists to deliver field surveys and reporting services
  2. Client and line management, tendering for new business, and preparing/reviewing technical reports
  3. Identify training requirements and ensure the Waster & Ecology team's KPIs are met

Requirements:

  1. 8+ years of experience in ecology, ideally within an environmental consultancy
  2. Degree-level education in a Biological or Environmental Sciences discipline and experience in providing ecology consultancy services
  3. Chartered membership of a relevant professional body, such as CIEEM
  4. A full, clean, UK driving licence
