Research Assistant Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Research Assistant to support our research programme in progressive neurological conditions, specifically Huntington's disease. The successful candidate will work closely with the Head of PNC Research Programme to provide research assistance and contribute to the delivery of high-quality research addressing important issues in mental health and progressive neurological conditions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide research assistance to the Head of PNC Research Programme
  • Contribute to literature reviews and database searches
  • Assist with the setup of a high-quality project, including participant recruitment and data collection
  • Manage data and conduct supervised analysis using appropriate qualitative analysis or IT and statistical programmes
  • Support and contribute to project outputs and attend conferences

Requirements

  • 2:1 or above in a health-related subject with a dissertation by research
  • Experience of conducting literature reviews and basic research design
  • Experience of qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis techniques and understanding of research governance requirements
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills (verbal and written)
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams
