Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Research Grants Administrator to join our team at the Motor Neurone Disease Association. In this role, you will be responsible for managing key administrative tasks and ensuring the accurate processing of data related to research funding.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain our grants management database, ensuring all records are current and correct.
  • Work closely with research institutes to verify and process grant-related invoices, ensuring they align with the awarded funding.
  • Collaborate with our Finance Team to ensure timely payments and proper record-keeping.
  • Request and process reports from grant recipients, ensuring they are reviewed by the appropriate colleagues or Research Advisory Panels.
  • Monitor the impact of funded research, including tracking publications and other outputs.
  • Support researchers in submitting applications for funding, coordinating the review process, and assisting with the successful award of grants.
  • Accurately record-keeping of research contacts, such as grantees and reviewers.
Requirements
  • Experience using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with the ability to manage data processing tasks with accuracy and care.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential as you will be working closely with colleagues and external contacts.
  • Excellent attention to detail and numeracy skills, ensuring consistent and accurate work.
  • Ability to manage your time effectively, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines, while maintaining a thorough approach to record-keeping.
  • Flexibility to work independently and bring a flexible attitude to a range of tasks.
