Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Domestic Violence Specialist to join our team at Cranstoun. As an IDVA Practitioner, you will play a critical role in supporting survivors of domestic abuse and promoting their safety and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with survivors of domestic abuse to identify their needs and risks, and develop individualized intervention plans to address these.
  • Collaborate with external agencies and the Harrow Domestic Abuse team to review risk, develop safety plans, and improve outcomes for all parties involved.
  • Provide one-to-one support to survivors, either face-to-face or online/telephone platforms, to improve their safety and link them to complementary services.
  • Champion the Cranstoun values and drive the organization's 'people' agenda, ensuring a culture based on fairness, collaboration, and trust.

Requirements:

  • Enhanced DBS check and vetting may be required based on location/office space utilized.
  • Ability to work in a multi-agency framework and design co-ordinated, strategic individual intervention plans.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust with survivors and external agencies.
  • Knowledge of domestic abuse and its impact on individuals and communities.
