About the Role:

Ramsay Health Care UK is seeking an experienced Infection Prevention Specialist to join our team on a part-time contract.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct surveillance to identify and monitor infections within the hospital
  • Provide expert advice on Infection Prevention and Control issues and contribute to the development of local procedures
  • Undertake training and education on Infection Prevention and Control issues
  • Attend and provide reports for Infection Control and Clinical Governance Committees
  • Conduct environmental audits to ensure infection prevention and control measures are in place
  • Liaise with department heads on Infection Prevention and Control issues
  • Coordinate all aspects of Infection Prevention and Control within the hospital

Requirements:

  • Current NMC registration
  • At least 30 credits at level 5 or 6 in modules relevant to Infection Prevention and Control Practice or a recognised Infection Prevention and Control qualification
  • A teaching/assessing qualification or equivalent
  • A warm, considerate, and empathetic character
  • A commitment to supporting patients and the team
  • The ability to make decisions and use your own initiative
  • Strong communication skills
  • A flexible and positive attitude
