Willing Care is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Ward Manager to join our Mental Health team. As a Ward Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a mental health ward, ensuring high-quality care for patients and providing leadership to the nursing staff.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide leadership and guidance to the nursing team, ensuring that patient care is delivered in accordance with best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Manage the operational and administrative aspects of the ward, including staffing, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Conduct assessments and develop care plans for patients, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic and individualized care.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of care delivery, implementing improvements as needed to enhance patient outcomes.
- Build strong relationships with patients, families, and external stakeholders, advocating for the needs of the individuals in your care.
- Champion a culture of diversity, equality, and inclusion within the ward, promoting a supportive and respectful environment for both patients and staff.
- Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) qualification with current registration with the UK NMC.
- Proven experience in a leadership or managerial role within a mental health setting.
- Strong clinical expertise in mental health nursing, with a comprehensive understanding of evidence-based practices and regulatory standards.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
