Full-time, permanent. 40 hours per week - 4 days only per week (Monday-Thursday & Tuesday-Friday) 3-day weekend

Salary:
£42,000, increasing to £44, with overtime opportunities.

We are looking for a Versatile Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established, family-owned organization.

The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the reliability of production machinery, site services, and facilities across various locations.

Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager, this position is essential for maintaining the efficient operation of our production lines and fostering continuous improvement in our manufacturing processes.


Key Responsibilities of the Versatile Maintenance Engineer:
  • Swiftly address mechanical and electrical failures across multiple sites.
  • Work closely with production teams to reduce machinery downtime, providing realistic timelines and updates on breakdown resolutions.
  • Manage Preventive Maintenance (PPM) schedules according to current operational needs.
  • Identify and implement enhancements to optimize factory and plant performance.
  • Maintain high standards of quality, food safety, and health & safety for products, oneself, and colleagues.
  • Engage in project management and contribute to initiatives aimed at energy conservation and waste reduction.
  • Provide training to staff in areas of expertise and assist production in setting up lines for efficient changeovers.

Required Skills & Qualifications of the Versatile Maintenance Engineer:
  • Demonstrated experience as a Multi-Skilled Engineer within a manufacturing setting.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Familiarity with PPM schedules and experience in their maintenance.
  • Dedication to quality, food safety, and health & safety protocols.
  • Project management experience and a proactive mindset towards continuous improvement.
