About The Position

In this role, you will be responsible for the upkeep and repair of all equipment on-site, adhering to departmental and operational strategies while ensuring compliance with technical regulations. Effective communication skills and a proactive approach are essential for enhancing performance and fostering strong working relationships.

Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off, 7am - 7pm

Your primary responsibilities will encompass:
  • Quickly addressing breakdowns and executing repairs to a high standard
  • Documenting and tracking parts utilized, along with diagnostics for each incident
  • Implementing routine maintenance schedules to reduce downtime and completing necessary documentation
  • Identifying opportunities to enhance machine 'up-time' through improved maintenance or cleaning protocols
  • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment while ensuring adherence to safety regulations by colleagues
  • Collaborating with contractors as required, overseeing their work on-site through the Permit to Work system
  • Conducting repairs and maintenance on buildings, facilities, utilities, site equipment, and machinery
  • Offering suggestions to boost productivity, lower costs, and facilitate improvements
  • Maximizing company resources while following established policies
What are we seeking?
  • Electrical qualification complemented by mechanical expertise
  • ONC or equivalent in Electrical/Mechanical
  • Knowledge of PLC Programming/Diagnostics
  • Familiarity with 17th edition wiring regulations
  • Demonstrated experience in the FMCG sector
  • Experience with single and three-phase electrical systems
  • Strong communication, analytical, and logical reasoning abilities
  • Adaptable, self-driven, and a positive mindset
Preferred skills/experience:
  • IOSH Certification
  • Understanding of VFFM's and weighing systems
