We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team at HMP Lewes, a CAT B Mens Prison. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the safety and security of the facility.
Key Responsibilities:- Work on commercial or industrial heating and water systems
- Ensure compliance with Water Supply Regulation and Control of Legionella L8 requirements
- Collaborate with experienced colleagues to provide a safe and secure environment
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on mechanical systems
- Develop and implement effective maintenance schedules
- Two years' experience working in a role as a plumber or equivalent
- Familiarity with relevant health and safety requirements
- Plumber qualified to C&G 6035 (Plumbing), C&G 6189 (Plumbing and heating) and NVQ level 3 in Plumbing or equivalent
- Excellent organisational, time management and people skills
- 25 days per year plus Bank Holidays
- Death in Service at 4x salary
