Director of Workshop Operations

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Workshop Operations to join our team at Redmore Recruitment limited. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and cost-effective management of the repair and maintenance function of all mechanical assets operated by the Group.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a team of employees including Heavy Plant and LGV Fitters, Welders and Fabricators, Tyre Fitters, and Stores personnel.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve workshop efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with the Board of Directors to establish and achieve business objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, asset performance, and employee training.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in the recycling and waste management industry.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Knowledge of mechanical asset management principles and practices.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions to drive business improvement.
