Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Workshop Supervisor to join our team at Evans Halshaw Ford in Cardiff. As a Workshop Supervisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our service department, managing technicians' time, and maintaining high levels of productivity and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Time Management: Account for and manage technicians' time when working on jobs, ensuring optimal utilization of resources.
- Quality Control: Ensure job card write-up compliance with OEM warranty procedures, maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy.
- Workshop Productivity: Manage and improve workshop productivity and efficiency by allocating jobs to the correct technicians, based on their skills and expertise.
- Training and Development: Identify technician training needs, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
Requirements
- Experience: Proven experience within a service department in the motor industry, with a strong understanding of systems and processes.
- Leadership Skills: Confident leadership and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with colleagues and customers at all levels.
- Organizational Skills: Excellent planning and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong knowledge of health and safety procedures, as well as a solid understanding of automotive systems and technologies.
