Job Overview

As a key member of our workshop team, you will be responsible for carrying out reconditioning and maintenance on Caterpillar products, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough inspections of machines to identify areas for improvement and develop comprehensive repair plans.
  • Perform standard diagnosis tests on machine components to enable accurate cost evaluations and warranty agreements.
  • Produce detailed lists of parts and materials required for proposed machine preparation work.
  • Undertake overhaul, repair, or refurbishment work on machines to agreed work plans, removing and dispatching components for specialist attention.
  • Inspect and test completed machines to ensure they operate to expected performance levels.
Requirements
  • Flexibility, organisational, and time management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail, work accuracy, and quality orientation.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships across all levels of the business.
  • Motivated and dynamic self-starter with a strong commitment to customer satisfaction.
  • Effective problem-solving skills with a deep understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Apprentice-trained or minimum 5 years' experience in a quality service environment within a similar industry.
  • Licence to drive reach trucks.
  • Practical experience in operating construction equipment in confined spaces and mechanical fitting work on large-scale machines.
