The School of Science, Engineering and Information Technology seeks an experienced and motivated Part-Time Professor to teach Building Information Modelling I: Drafting and Drawings. This course introduces students to the tools required for creating models and documenting projects using Revit Structure.

Course Overview

This course focuses on equipping students with the skills and knowledge necessary to effectively utilize Building Information Modelling (BIM) technology. Students will gain a comprehensive understanding of Revit Structure 2017 through hands-on experience in a computer lab setting. The curriculum covers various aspects of BIM, including:

  • The advantages of BIM
  • Revit interface and modelling tools
  • Building structure elements (columns, beams, floors, foundations, reinforcement)
  • Toposurface creation, annotations, detailing, sheets, and printing
Responsibilities

The Part-Time Professor will be responsible for creating a positive learning environment that fosters student engagement and success. Key responsibilities include:

Qualifications

The ideal candidate possesses:

  • A relevant academic background in engineering, architecture, or construction management.
  • Experience teaching Building Information Modelling (BIM) concepts.
  • Proficiency in Revit Structure 2017 and other relevant software.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
