We are seeking a skilled Senior Product Safety Engineer to join our Filton-based Product Integrity Team.

About the Role

This dynamic position offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate with Chief Engineers' teams and contribute to the development of cutting-edge fighter aircraft. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and integrity of products throughout their engineering lifecycle.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with customers to agree delivery timescales and allocate tasks to suitably qualified team members.
  • Generate and evaluate design safety reports in support of Safety Qualification/Certification requirements.
  • Develop and review Aircraft Zonal Hazard Analysis Reports (ZHAs) for certification purposes.
  • Maintain hazard logs and generate safety assessments and design justifications.
  • Review certification evidence and generate safety certification arguments/justifications.
  • Ensure safety engineering evidence supports acceptable Safety Certification of product designs.
  • Undertake weapon platform emergent issue risk assessments and support continued airworthiness through life product safety.
Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • HND/HNC/Degree or equivalent in a STEM subject or relevant experience.
  • Safety Engineering experience, critical thinking, and analytical skills, along with excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong self-motivation and effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
