Leading Safety Expert for Next-Generation Aircraft

We are seeking a skilled Senior Product Safety Engineer to join our Filton-based Product Integrity Team.
Salary: £57,500 per annum, dependent on skills and experience.
About the RoleThis dynamic position offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate with Chief Engineers' teams and contribute to the development of cutting-edge fighter aircraft. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and integrity of products throughout their engineering lifecycle.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Liaise with customers to agree delivery timescales and allocate tasks to suitably qualified team members.
- Generate and evaluate design safety reports in support of Safety Qualification/Certification requirements.
- Develop and review Aircraft Zonal Hazard Analysis Reports (ZHAs) for certification purposes.
- Maintain hazard logs and generate safety assessments and design justifications.
- Review certification evidence and generate safety certification arguments/justifications.
- Ensure safety engineering evidence supports acceptable Safety Certification of product designs.
- Undertake weapon platform emergent issue risk assessments and support continued airworthiness through life product safety.
To succeed in this role, you will require:
- HND/HNC/Degree or equivalent in a STEM subject or relevant experience.
- Safety Engineering experience, critical thinking, and analytical skills, along with excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Strong self-motivation and effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
