About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maternity Care Assistant to join our team at Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust. As a Maternity Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to women and babies in our maternity unit.

Key Responsibilities

As a Maternity Care Assistant, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Cleaning, restocking, and preparing beds, cubicles, and clinical areas between patients.
  • Assisting midwives during antenatal and postnatal clinics and checks.
  • Welcoming and supervising visitors to the hospital, ensuring the security policy is adhered to.
  • Reporting accidents and incidents to the midwife in charge and completing appropriate records.
  • Ensuring the safekeeping of patients' personal possessions in accordance with hospital policy.

Person Specification

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A willingness to undertake the Health and Social Care level 3 apprenticeship.
  • Ability to write clearly and legibly in English.
  • Understanding of confidentiality and standards of conduct and care.
