Key Responsibilities:

As a Clinical Oncology Pharmacist at Nuffield Health Oxford, you will:

  • Patient Care:
    • Screen SACT prescriptions and plan & order treatments for patients.
    • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize pharmaceutical care for oncology patients.
    • Conduct medication reviews and create personalized care plans.
  • Medication Management:
    • Manage and review chemotherapy and oncology-related drug therapies.
    • Evaluate the safe and effective use of oncology medications, including dose adjustments and monitoring.
    • Counsel patients on SACT medications, side effects, and supplementary medication.
  • Drug Information and Education:
    • Provide up-to-date information on oncology medications and treatment protocols to healthcare professionals.
    • Educate patients and caregivers on proper administration and management of oncology medications.
  • Quality Assurance:
    • Contribute to the development and maintenance of oncology pharmacy policies, procedures, and protocols.
    • Evaluate the quality and safety of oncology pharmacy services.
  • Collaboration:
    • Work with multidisciplinary teams, including oncologists, nurses, and healthcare professionals, to enhance patient outcomes.
    • Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and meetings.
