Job Summary

R W Armstrong is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Project Manager to join our Andover division. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct and coordinate all project activities, including overall responsibility for the performance of assigned projects.
  • Manage multiple projects concurrently, ensuring timely completion and meeting client expectations.
  • Set, review, and implement project strategy, driving project progress and making necessary interventions.
  • Provide contractual and internal reporting, ensuring accurate and timely information.
  • Manage change, including notifications, claims, and disputes, in accordance with contractual terms and conditions.
  • Proactively manage all aspects of Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) on site, ensuring compliance with regulations and good practice.
  • Undertake regular SHE audits of each project, setting and maintaining an effective SHE culture.
  • Manage project CEMP and CPP in accordance with CDM regulations, liaising with external consultants and advisors.
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of compliance matters, following both internal and external compliance processes.
  • Use agreed Company processes, procedures, and systems, running effective meetings, and implementing actions.

Requirements

  • Relevant construction qualification, such as NVQ in Construction Management.
  • Contemporary construction methods and detailing, traditional construction methods and detailing, conservation and listed buildings, basements and RC substructures, indoor swimming pool construction.
  • Competency in the use of IT software packages, including Outlook, Word, Excel, Project Commander, PDF editing, and document filing systems.
  • Experience in managing projects with a value of between £2M and £6M, managing multiple projects running simultaneously, understanding and managing complex project information.
