Job Title: Procurement Manager

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to join our team at Sizewell C, a nuclear new build project in Suffolk. As a key member of our Supply Chain team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of our project.

About the Role

You will be responsible for supporting the Procurement team with Site Delivery, encompassing Site Establishment, Off-Site Infrastructure, and Site Operations. This will involve engaging closely with Project Managers, Finance, and Project controls to procure works required to enable Site Delivery, in accordance with Sizewell C's Acquire Goods and Services (AGS) processes and procedures.

Procurements will range in value from £1m up to £200m, requiring you to be commercially astute and able to engage closely with all stakeholders to ensure the best value solution for the project.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Procurement team with Site Delivery, including Site Establishment, Off-Site Infrastructure, and Site Operations
  • Engage closely with Project Managers, Finance, and Project controls to procure works required to enable Site Delivery
  • Develop procurement documentation from expression of interest through to contract award
  • Identify scope and advise procurement routes available in line with Sizewell C's Acquire Goods and Services processes and procedures
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A proven track record in managing procurement processes, optimizing supply chain operations, and fostering strong relationships with suppliers
  • Exceptional negotiating, influencing, and communication skills for procuring and managing contracts
  • In-depth knowledge of contract performance measurements, risk management, and change management
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with a noteworthy track record of successful procurements and strong adherence to governance processes
  • Familiarity with common forms of contract within the power construction industry and major projects (NEC & FIDIC)
  • Previous Construction or Nuclear experience, ideally
