Procurement Specialist

Westlakes Recruit is seeking a skilled Procurement Engineer to join our team on a permanent basis in Leiston, Suffolk.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintain and manage the technical and quality aspects of the site's spares and equipment catalogue.
- Develop procurement specifications in conjunction with technical specialists and buyers.
- Assist in resolving Quality and Technical problems.
- Support the resolution of obsolescence issues, including reverse engineering and conducting QC and Store Hold Inspections.
- Provide advice and input for procurement engineering training and support, underpinning the Materials Planning process.
- Educated to a minimum HNC level in an engineering discipline.
- Sound working knowledge of technical and quality assurance arrangements.
- Knowledge of standards applicable to procurement.
- A flexible working approach, including supplier and other business unit visits to support continuous improvement.
