Pharmacist Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic pharmacist to join our mental health team at Highgate Mental Health Centre and St Pancras Hospital. As a Specialist Pharmacist - Band 6, you will play a key role in providing high-quality, professional, and specialist input into the delivery of clinical and operational pharmacy services.
You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams across inpatient and community settings to ensure the safe, effective, and optimised use of medication. Your expertise will be invaluable in supporting the education and training agenda for the department, supervising and developing band 6 pharmacists and trainee pharmacists, and contributing to the development of policies and procedures affecting the use of medication.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver a comprehensive clinical pharmacy service, providing a safe, effective, and optimised use of medication across inpatient and community settings.
- Contribute to the education and training agenda for the department, supervising and developing band 6 pharmacists and trainee pharmacists.
- Work closely with dispensary staff to support an effective dispensing and supply service.
- Support the Lead Medicines Safety and Governance Pharmacist in policies and procedures affecting the use of medication at both local and trust-wide levels.
- Undertake QI training to support the delivery of the C&I QI and Medicines Audit programmes and deputise for the Advanced Specialist Pharmacist in their absence.
