Job Title: Specialist Pharmacist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialist Pharmacist to join our team at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a Specialist Pharmacist, you will play a key role in providing clinical pharmacy services to patients within the Emergency and Integrated Care Division.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide specialist clinical pharmacy services to patients within the Emergency and Integrated Care Division.
  • Ensure the safe, effective, legal, and accurate use of medicines within the specialty.
  • Act as a role model and deliver, develop, and evaluate specialist clinical pharmacy services in accordance with the objectives set by the line manager.
Job Requirements:
  • Vocational Master's Degree in Pharmacy and completion of pre-registration training.
  • Registered as a practicing pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
  • Postgraduate Certificate in Clinical Pharmacy Practice or equivalent relevant general experience.
  • Registered independent prescriber.
  • Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS) membership.
Desirable Skills and Qualities:
  • Experience as a clinical pharmacist practitioner, demonstrating appropriate levels of competency.
  • Variety of clinical practice to include the provision of pharmaceutical care to patients on medical and surgical wards and clinics.
  • Education and training of staff.
  • Supervision of others.
  • Experience in carrying out audit and/or service evaluation/improvement.
Working Arrangements:

This is a full-time position, working 37.5 hours per week. The successful candidate will be required to participate in on-call, weekend/bank holiday, and shift working as well as 7-day working when required on a rotational basis.
