Graduate Teaching Assistant Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Graduate Teaching Assistant to join our team at a fantastic North London Secondary School, supporting the learning and development of students in the school.

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will work collaboratively with teachers to provide classroom support and individual assistance to students, ensuring an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
  • Support students with educational activities and provide one-on-one assistance when necessary
  • Help create a positive and supportive learning environment for all students
  • Contribute to the planning and preparation of educational materials
  • Assist in the assessment and monitoring of student progress
  • Provide support during extracurricular activities and school events
  • Uphold the school's policies and promote a diverse and inclusive learning environment
Requirements:
  • A First-Class Bachelor's degree in education, or a core subject, is mandatory
  • Previous experience working with secondary school students is advantageous
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting student learning
  • An understanding of diversity, equality, and inclusion in an educational setting
  • Willingness to engage in continuous professional development

This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with teachers and students on a daily basis, assisting in classroom activities, providing support to students with specific learning needs, and collaborating with colleagues to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
