Job Description

Society of Research Software Engineering is seeking a highly skilled RISC-V Core Developer to join our team. As a key member of our research software engineering group, you will be responsible for developing advanced simulation models using the Structural Simulation Toolkit (SST) and creating new techniques to analyze and visualize data generated by SST simulations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in computer science or computer architecture, excellent C++ programming skills, and experience with Python programming. Familiarity with Unix/Linux/OSX environments and Git version control systems is also essential. A Master's or PhD degree in computer science or a related field is preferred. The salary for this position is approximately $140,000 per year.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Continuing development of SST models, including RISC-V model Rev, and architecting new SST models for emerging HPC Systems.
  • Development of advanced data analysis and visualization methods, and continuing development of GUI interface to the SST simulation infrastructure.
  • Creation of tests for new simulation features, and assisting with architecting new hardware modules and full system design parameters.
  • Assisting with the creation of SST debugging features, and developing GUI interface to the SST simulation infrastructure.
