Job Summary

We are seeking an Environmental Sustainability Coordinator to support our business in developing and implementing strategies and programs to reduce our environmental impact. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in shaping our approach to sustainability and ensuring compliance with relevant environmental legislation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement environmental strategies, policies, and action plans to reduce our environmental footprint.
  • Lead sustainable procurement initiatives for all goods and services.
  • Coordinate pollution control, waste management, recycling, environmental health, conservation, and renewable energy programs.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental legislation and regulations.
  • Represent DO & CO in environmental issues and liaise with local authorities, public bodies, and other stakeholders.
  • Audit and analyze environmental performance to report to internal and external clients and regulatory bodies.
  • Direct and supervise impact assessments to identify, evaluate, and reduce environmental risks and financial costs.
  • Promote awareness of emerging environmental issues across the business.
  • Implement best practices in corporate, ethical, and social responsibility and address any issues arising.
  • Develop and implement environmental management systems to improve our impact on the environment.

Requirements

  • Demonstrable experience working in sustainability and the environment.
  • Good understanding of major sustainability disclosure frameworks.
  • ISO 14001 certification.
  • Experience in supporting projects to improve environmental and social supply chain impacts.
  • Self-motivation, resilience, and a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and precise record-keeping skills.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and influence different departments to suggest and implement efficient processes.
  • Clear and engaging communication skills, with strong written and verbal English.
  • Experience working with diverse functions and people to deliver projects on time with high quality.
