Environmental Enforcement Officer Role

At Apcoa Parking, we are seeking an Environmental Enforcement Officer to join our team. As an Environmental Enforcement Officer, you will play a vital role in enforcing local laws and regulations to protect the environment and public health.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and enforce laws within the designated area, making enquiries and pursuing action where necessary.
  • Examine reports of littering, fly tipping, and dog fouling, and other similar offences.
  • Issue Fixed Penalty Notices for offences where appropriate.
  • Prepare and submit relevant cases for trial and assist legal services in presenting cases to court and attending as a witness when required.
  • Record witness statements and conduct interviews under caution when necessary.
  • Validate and verify personal details of offenders.
  • Build good working relations with key stakeholders and other agencies, including the Police.

Requirements:

  • Experience of enforcement work, including security work, is preferred.
  • Knowledge of green services, such as cleansing and waste collection, is desired.
  • Ability to adapt and engage with different audiences and work as part of a team.
  • Capacity to deal with complaints and resolve complex issues.
  • Enthusiasm and a positive 'can do' attitude to work.
  • A full clean driving licence is required.
