About the Role:

This is an exempt full-time role located in Shrewsbury, MA. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. As a Staff Accountant II, you will play a critical role in supporting our financial close process, preparing financial reports, and collaborating with our business units to drive financial performance.

Responsibilities:
  • Monthly Close Process: Prepare journal entries, review, and submit for approval to ensure compliance with accounting standards.
  • Financial Reporting: Work with finance staff to prepare accurate and compliant journal entry backup, ensuring timely submission to stakeholders.
  • Project Budgeting: Prepare project budget information and upload to PeopleSoft, including revisions for approval by management.
  • Disbursement Management: Prepare disbursement check payments and gather information for uploading to the bank portal, ensuring seamless payment processing.
  • Reconciliation and Analysis: Review and analyze balance sheet accounts and fixed asset schedules to identify areas for improvement.
