About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Building Development Manager to join our Cambridge team. As part of our Buildings team, you will work closely with our lead to develop business growth, enhance relationships with local clients, and deliver exceptional project results.


Main Responsibilities

  • ">
  • Project Delivery: Implement project requirements to meet client specifications in accordance with relevant standards.">
  • Performance Development Reviews: Conduct Performance Development Reviews (PDR) for reporting staff, driving learning and development opportunities.">
  • Client Liaison: Drive client and third-party liaison, fostering strong relationships and delivering exceptional customer service.">
  • Quality Control: Approve own discipline work, including third-party design proposals, ensuring quality and adherence to industry standards.">
  • Technical Support: Provide technical support to team members, staying up-to-date on relevant Standards, Codes of Practice, Health & Safety legislation, and current design methods.">
  • Quality System: Comply with PF quality system procedures within your team, driving quality excellence.">
  • Bid Submissions: Prepare and check bid submissions for quality and accuracy.">
  • Business Development: Promote company capabilities, securing future engineering work.">

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Essential: Relevant degree, professionally qualified, and member of an appropriate professional body.">
  • Experience: Minimum 8 years experience in a similar field.">
  • Preferred: Previous experience in an engineering organisation.">
  • Skills: Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills, commercial and financial competence.">

Estimated Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience.
