Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Specialist to join our team at Babcock International.
About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to work on ensuring the health, safety, and wellbeing of employees and stakeholders in the maritime industry.
The Responsibilities:
- Provide professional health and safety advice and support to departments across the organisation.
- Conduct workplace inspections to identify hazards, assess risks, and implement mitigation measures.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Participate in corporate audits, manage corrective actions, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Represent the department at committees and meetings, providing input and contributing to shared learning opportunities.
Requirements:
- Possess proven experience in a similar role within the maritime, construction, oil & gas, or industrial sectors.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team to achieve organisational goals.
- Hold a recognised health and safety qualification, such as a NEBOSH certificate or degree, and be working towards further qualifications.
- Demonstrate excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
