Job Overview

Job Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be working on vertical and horizontal can-making power press equipment, including cupping presses and bodymakers. Experience working in an FMCG environment is critical.

The candidate will be required to deliver planned preventive maintenances, machine overhaul and recovery support, and complete regulatory compliance checks across all can making power press equipment.

Requirements

  • A Mechanical/Maintenance Engineering apprenticeship or an Engineering ONC/HNC level qualification or equivalent is required.
  • Proven experience in a relevant mechanical engineering role is essential, with prior experience of working with power presses being advantageous.
  • Experience in machining using a lathe, milling machine, and surface grinder, as well as welding experience (Tig/Mig) and fitting skills including scraping, is required.
  • Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics, and the ability to read schematic drawings, is also necessary.
  • The ability to work well in a team and manage own workload is essential.
