Job Description

The Physiotherapy Assistant will play a vital role in supporting our physical therapists in providing patient care, including equipment setup, treatment area preparation, and assisting with exercise programs.

  • Patient Care Support: Assist physical therapists in setting up equipment and preparing treatment areas, ensuring a seamless patient experience.
  • Exercise Program Assistance: Motivate and support patients during exercise programs, promoting engagement and motivation.
  • Progress Observation: Observe and report patient progress to physical therapists, facilitating informed decision-making.
  • Treatment Room Maintenance: Maintain the cleanliness and organization of treatment rooms and equipment, adhering to facility policies.
  • Administrative Tasks: Perform scheduling, phone calls, documentation, and other administrative duties as required.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent qualification
  • Previous experience in a healthcare or rehabilitation setting (desired)
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team environment
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to lift and move heavy equipment and assist patients with mobility
  • Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends (if required)
Compensation

We offer a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $55,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
